poor service and lack of attention from the employees. eating was bland and uninvited. manager could not take less care to ensure that customers are well served and enjoy their stay. Ver carta

this was the best lunch of our weekly stay classification in the environment. absolutely delicious sandwiches: we went for steak and stelton and fish finger. pleasant service and very affordable.

Visited The Swan for lunch today, it was a lovely experience as usual. We had the the excellent burger and fish and chips both meals were delicious. Lovely friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and delicious food. So lucky to be able to pop in to The Swan regularly for coffee. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury

I would have thought that if the advertising food until 9 o'clock they would not say that the kitchen was closed at 8:35. very disappointed when I had eaten here in the past, it was good. it is not surprising that the pubs see themselves closing when they do not gunst themselves. by turning off the business, but claiming to have food available. Re-visited The George upon change of ownership; things are on the up. A pleasant evening, with good food, reasonably priced, with traditional pub favourites mixed in with a few more adventurous offerings. In need of a landlord' although the young staff are willing and enthusiastic....A decent selection of beer and LARGER (their spelling) Some investment needed in the decor especially the lighting. Will happily return.

We recently stayed overnight at a hotel and had a fantastic experience. The staff greeted us warmly and with smiles, making us feel very welcome. The hotel was cozy and warm despite the cold, wet weather in November. Our room, Room 4, was a medium-sized double room with a roll top bath, underfloor heating, and luxurious amenities such as soft white towels and Bramley toiletries. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean. The hotel was dog-friendly and had a lovely atmosphere, with a roaring fire in the pub dining area. We decided to revisit The George in Wedmore for dinner after a long break due to past poor experiences. The food was good and reasonably priced. The (young and virtually untrained) staff tried their best. The general atmosphere was only partly welcoming flowers and...candles on the tables, due to the large open fire, remaining unlit on a wet, cold February night .Interestingly in a neighbouring room, we discovered that the diners had lit the fire for themselves!! All was going ok until we asked for a bottle of white wine which arrived warm. A big ice bucket full of ice and water was provided which when we poured the wine then proceeded to drip water everywhere. The next problem was they had... Ver carta
