It was a great experience and my first visit with some of my family all the staff were very welcoming friendly and helpful including the chef we all had the carvery and it was excellent and would recommend it to anyone and hope to visit again soon

Very nice food and great service, the decor is clean and stylish. Turkey Vlub sandwich with Fries was very good. Also, the Munkfish and Prawn Curry was excellent, spice level reasonably spicy (less than madras/more than tikka massala). The carvery looked good, and I will be back for that soon! The vanilla cheese cake and pear taste were also excellent.

This is one of the best roasts I've ever had! The cuts of meat they offer are outstanding and cooked to perfection. The food is served buffet-style, which might not be for everyone, but I personally enjoy it. The potatoes are fluffy and delicious, and the price is fantastic—just £38 for two roasts and two drinks. What a surprise, a large friendly pub with really good food. All the staff were well turned out and very helpful a well run organisation. The carvery is excellent, tasty nut roast, and cooked meats with a wide variety of vegetables cooked with care. We will definitely be back soon. Only regret not enough room left for the joys of the pudding trolley, but next time ! yes.

Absolutely first class service. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. We were given a ' meat pack ' for the dog which was quite substantial. We asked for a knife, cream and plates as we took our own Birthday cake and they provided everything for us. The carvery was excellent and there was a good choice of meats and vegetables. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Thank you to everyone for a great meal that made our celebrations complete.

We stumbled upon this absolutely fantastic restaurant by chance, and we're so glad we did. The food was outstanding; the vegetarian burger was one of the best I've ever had—finally, something that didn't taste or look like cardboard. The service was excellent; we were attended to immediately, and everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly without being intrusive. The atmosphere was laid-back, yet not overly pub-like. We hadn't visited this restaurant in about four years since we moved away, but the food continues to impress. They offer a lovely carvery and the staff are very friendly. We were there for the early sitting at 12, and I noticed it wasn’t overly busy an hour and a half later, which is quite different from a few years ago when walking into a packed pub without a reservation was rare. However, the most disappointing aspect was that the dessert trolley is no longer available; this was one of the main reasons we came. I hope Andy will reinstate the dessert trolley soon, as it was always a favorite of ours.

My family I have been regulars for well over 30 years we have never been disappointed by the food or service. Their carvery always has a selection of meats from local farms the assortment of fresh vegetables is vast. You can also, if you prefer, choose an item from their A La Carte menu swap the sides that usually accompany the dish, with carvery veg. Their sweet trolley hot puds are also great. UPDATE March 2023 We've been twice recently. Since one of the main chefs left, the standard of the carvery vegetables has sadly declined. The veggies don't get replenished as quickly either so often run out. They have also stopped the famous sweets trolley, presumably post COVID. Staff are still frie...

Not a good experience unfortunately. Our table of four, close to the till area, waited 30 45 minutes for service. We had not been given menus, or asked for our drinks order. We eventually caught a waiter's eye and were asked if we wanted drinks or food! I wonder what else we could have been waiting for?! There was another long wait for the food, but thankfully we had something to drink. The chips served with a scampi meal were not as described in the menu but we did not wish to wait even longer for this to be corrected. A second bottle of water was requested, but did not arrive until asked for a second time. The pub was very busy, but that is not the fault of the customer. Perhaps, if there... Ver carta
