"we have eaten two cheeky teenage boys in white horse inn last month. we couldn't have received a warmer greeting. Although the owners were busy john and dawn on Saturday night, the owners left to explain the menu and make sure we feel comfortable. there were logs on the fire and an amazing atmosphere with the locals at the bar that makes the evening even more entertaining. the kitchen was great to get our meals in time (not always the case at a busy weekend in pubs) and the standard of the food was amazing. kudos an den koch! this is not pubic food it is high class restaurant standard. her gravure becomes amazing reviews and quite right. do not miss this place! beautiful ride there, amazing hospitality and first class restaurant! highly recommended!"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday evening. The staff were lovely, and the food was fantastic, especially the great two-course special for just £13.00. Since I only live 25 minutes away, I will definitely be coming back. My only minor complaint was the £11.00 price for a glass of wine, but my wife said it was very nice—though I was the one paying... again! Overall, it was a great dining experience. Service: Dine in, Meal type: Dinner."

"First visit here after lots of recommendations. The pub and restaurant are beautiful a traditional pub married with the contemporary. However, we had Sunday roasts sirloin. Given the Michelin star we expected something special for £30. The meat was full of fat. The vegetables were bland. The gravy too thin to taste. The roast potatoes were nice and the Yorkshire pudding crispy. I’ve eaten Sunday lunch all over the place and this didn’t make the top 50. Dessert sounded nice but it was laced with star anise and not pleasant. By the time we added drinks we got a bill for £270 including £30 service charge. The service was okay but the waitresses did the basics certainly not worth £30. Won’t be rushing back."

"Phoned at 10am on a Friday to check restaurant opening times and if we need to book. The hotel is a 30 min drive from where we are staying and we want to make sure. Restaurant open all day serving hot food from the main menu, except a kitchen break 4 till 5, and no a table for two will be fine to seat without booking. Okay we will be there 2.30 to 3.00, see you then. Arrive just before 3 and told the kitchen is shut we are only serving sandwiches we only have one chef on today with a half hearted apology, and the person we spoke to is in a meeting. Pointed us to a couple of cafes nearby serving hot food. Ended up at the Black Swan who serve hot food all day note, not pointed out as an alternative."

"here for lunch. I had jacket kartoffel and crowning huh, best I had in a long time, much huh and very tasty. marks and spencers take to knowledge. husband had broccoli and stilton suppe and sandwich, good filling in sandwich. very busy, so one is waiting, no problem at all. star was missing when I thought that tables would be a little close together in Covid times."
