Very friendly feel to this place, lots of staff on so Herod service at busy times. On a friday they have live music, which makes for very good atmosphere....

We really liked the hummus and pita bread, it was £6. However, we felt that the cauliflower and potatoes dish was a bit expensive at £14. The outdoor seating was lovely, and the staff were very nice.

had a nice lunch for a group of 18 seniors. everyone ordered something different and everyone was very happy with his choice. the waitress was very friendly, patient and helpful and sorted all bills separately. the meals were very nice with a good selection and all came together quite quickly. I had baguette with chicken **** and wetar.

I decided to visit The Mermaid in Burford because there are limited vegan options in the area. I ordered a falafel and hummus baguette which was fresh and reasonable, but could have used a bit more hummus. The baguette also came with a nice side salad which I added inside the sandwich. However, the standout of the meal were the chips - they were outstanding! In my experience as a frequent traveling vegan, these were the best chips I've had in a long time.

I just added The Mermaid because Burford has very few vegan options and this could help someone. I have a falafel and ugly baguette. It was reasonable that it was fresh, but could have been a bit more taxy. It came with a beautiful side salad that I lined into the baguette. The chips... the chips were OUTSTANDING!! Best chips I had in a long time, and as a long time vegan that travels a lot for work, I have eaten many chips. These were really the best chips.

charming. unbelievable. beautiful, much fun. just a few words to describe our experience at the mermaid. we thought we had a few drinks and a quick bite and could have stayed all day long. the personal was amazing! (not sure what design beer to try, ask them charlotte. She covered you. the drinks were fantastic! and the food meets every case! cozy interior seats on two etagens and perfectly shaded tables on the front walkway (fitting for people to watch. the mermaid is our new place in burford.
