"Visited for a Saturday evening with friends and it was so good we booked for Sunday lunch the following day. The food was absolutely amazing, extremely good. A little on the expensive side but well worth it. My only complaint is the Covid charge! £2 per person!! What on earth is this for? Yes the staff wear masks and there is hand sanitiser, but does this warrant the additional charge? Surely it can’t be for cleaning because it’s a restaurant so I’d expect it to be clean anyway. And why is it a charge per person and not per booking!!! So excellent food but begrudge the Covid charge. The bill for our Sunday lunch, 5 adults and 1 child was £165. This was 2 starters, 6 main meals (1 was a child’s) and 6 desserts. One bottle of wine and the rest were soft drinks."

Had a lovely experience when visiting The Crown Lodge for Mother's Day. The service was impressive and the food was out of this world!! Very well done; I shall be returning.

We had vouchers bought for last Christmas and finally got round to using them and boy were we glad we did. We had an absolutely lovely meal. Really tasty and filling . Probably the best one we have had here.

I called in here for dinner recently, not expecting much. The service turned out to be excellent and the duck dish I had was simply exquisite! Very pleasantly surprised. Eat here before the chef heads off to somewhere with a Michelin star.

We dined here mid weekThe venue is clean and comfortable though pretty empty so a bit soulless The food was enjoyed by most of the guests though overall I was let down by my main courseService was fine especially as we often have specific requirements

We had an wonderful family birthday celebration meal. The food was excellent. The Rib beef steak just melted and the scollops were delicious. To have a choice of 6 sorbets was great as I only usually have a choice of lemon! The staff were friendly, attentive and all wore PPE.

We stayed at the crown lodge and ate at the hotel2 out of 3 nights food was tasty the tuna tagliatelle was particularly good the hotel staff were attentive food arrived hot and fast and although the restaurant was busy we felt the service wasn’t compromised and here was a great atmosphere. We were given a table where we could take our dog Cooper with us and the staff bought him water and commented on how nice and well behaved he was which was nice to hear would highly recommend.

Drove past this place lots of time and finally stopped in on a Saturday night with friends.Everything about my meal was below par for the price.Prawn cocktail was still frozen prawns, my pork fillet was way over cooked and the 7oz fillet steak for £24?? Also it doesn’t even come with sides, then beer at £5 a pint?? We aren’t in London!!Waaaaaay over priced. Best part is the staff are super friendly but that won’t be what gets me to return. Shame really as had high expectations for this place

Living in this part of Cambridgeshire it’s difficult to find a nice restaurant and more so for a special occasion. But this place can provide this and if it’s nice you don’t mind paying a bit extra. A good choice of menu and it was nice that there was gluten free alternatives as one of our party had to be catered for. Staff were very attentive and help make our night which was a celebration of a Wedding Anniversary and a first new home. Something to please everybody from starters through mains and superb puddings then washed down with special coffees. Thank you to The Moorings.

"My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We chose Titchwell Manor due to its location on the A149. From here we can catch the Coasthopper up or down the coast. The bus stops are 100 metres outside the hotel. We were greeted in the car park and shown to our room behind the hotel. We had Basil number 21. It is a large comfortable room, with walk in shower and the fluffiest towels we have ever had. The room was very well heated and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from a civilised 8am. The plate of fresh fruit was really good. If you choose to have you eggs poached they will be the most perfect you will ever have with their lovely orange yokes. The rest of the components were equally good and served with leaf tea or great coffee. The bars each had a lovely roaring log fire, where we enjoyed a drink before our meal. The menu choices we made were ham hock, brioche piccalilli and burnt apple purée followed by venison, Jerusalem artichoke and rainbow kale. The other choice was marinated beetroot, basil pesto and goats cheese cream followed by salt baked celeriac, sage and onion with crispy kale. Both meals were outstanding. The venison was very tender and the celeriac was outstanding. On the basis of this dish, a very under stated vegetable. Service was very good and served at a speed we dictated without the continual pestering we have experienced elsewhere. We will definitely come back here as the whole stay was a great experience."
