The New Inn - Menú

Lovely greeting on entering, attentive staff, great menu and excellent home cooked food. Would visit again if on the island.

A great night with exceptionally good food and ambience. The New Inn has now reached the fine dining category with two new outstanding female chefs. I would thoroughly recommend going. All tribute to to the new manager and her team.

The New Inn is hands down one of the best places you can eat on the island. My wife and I always book it whenever we visit the island. Wendy and her team do a fantastic job of looking after you and treating you to delicious food. Thank you for an amazing roast and rhubarb crumble!

The Roast Beef lunch was absolutely delicious- the meat was cooked perfectly and served with crispy roast potatoes, a perfect Yorkshire pudding, and a variety of delicious vegetables. The service from the friendly and efficient staff was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent- of us had supper. Fresh delicious seafood cooked to perfection. We learnt that the regular chef had left a few days prior to our visit and sous chef had stepped into his shoes. She was doing a stunning job. So good to go to restaurant to be served super fresh fish cooked well. We did not try the puddings but they sounded good.

This week, we enjoyed two fantastic lunches at this restaurant. My husband was delighted to finally find a crab sandwich on the menu, a dish that seems to have disappeared from other island pubs. The sandwiches here were excellent, as were the other dishes we tried. The young staff was helpful and friendly, adding to our overall positive experience.

What a wonderful find the new inn was! After stumbling across the pub on our way back to the ferry, we arrived after closing time but the landlady happily let us in for a drink regardless, and even went and got a little bowl of ice cream (on the house) for our 2 year old son who was of course delighted! Lovely round of drinks, made to feel like family for our short visit. The menu looked delicious so will definitely return when next on the island for a longer visit.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we found that the table was only partly set and some cutlery was missing. However, fresh napkins and cutlery were provided with the meal. The service was attentive and the young staff made a great effort to please. There was a wide selection of food available, all of which was delicious and cooked to perfection. The prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants on the island. Although we were warned there would be a wait for our order, the 50-minute wait for the main course and 20-minute wait for dessert seemed a bit excessive. Despite this, the restaurant is a charming and welcoming place with excellent food and good value for money.

Firstly, the pub itself was delightful an absolute warren of different spaces. Loo was spotless like the pub itself, eclectic in taste. Food was first class Yorkshire puds were outstanding, I’d go so far as to say the best I’ve had. Cauliflower cheese was gorgeous, plentiful meat veg nicely cooked. Now for the bits not so good; service was shambolic. We were asked 3 times by different waitresses if all was well. The fact they had a mechanical fault meaning orders didn’t get to kitchen is neither here nor there, but after 50minutes we asked on the foods arrival we were told of the issue.
