"Firstly, if you haven’t visited here, it’s a must. I was taken here for one of their cheaply priced lunch meals a couple of years ago, and I was floored at the high quality of the food for such a great price and quite possibly the most amazing creme brûlée I’ve ever tasted (I always order one ahead of my visit now). We have been back here several times since and the food really is outstanding, the service and staff is fantastic. Went there for Mother’s Day and had a fantastic meal and desert and was given a beautiful pit plant. Back there again for my birthday in 2 weeks. And I can not wait. Jade and Jay."

They fit a party of 12 in for us at quite late notice. The food is always amazing here the staff are helpful cheerful and friendly nothing too much trouble. Definitely will be coming back and recommend

Very cosy and friendly atmosphere, stayed open for two of us to have a quick pint which was appreciated. Bar staff were welcoming and locals full of good conversation. Will be coming back. Service: 5 Location: 5

Wonderful Sunday lunch, well priced. Beautifully thick cuts of beef, big, lush Yorkie puds, nice roast potatoes. My only criticism is on the veg, a little basic, could do with a bit more variety and maybe some Cauliflower cheese as a side order??? But would definitely go back again. Service: 4 Location: 4

So have just stayed 1 night at the old down Inn, and loved it max gives you a warm welcome and the staff are all friendly and helpful room was large and clean and comfy bed food was lovely and well presented and we met the locals in the bar who were all friendly as well as we're fellow travellers. we had our dog with us and there was no problem , max is a lovely host and real character would stay here again no worries thanks for a great stay best wishes to the crew
