"Food was mainly OFF. Most of the main courses weren 't available and some of the starters as well. 'Things happen ' but we hadn 't been warned of this at any point in advance before sitting down, even though we were in the bar an hour earlier. Actually, having been chased repeatedly to confirm the table, which we did, the quid pro quo of a well managed restaurant is that they contact us in advance when they hit problems. Also, the starters we had were good, but main courses in our party of 5 had a mixed reception. The heating wasn 't working and we sat in a cold draught blankets would have been good. We were early (18:30) and the only people there at that point, but there was an air conditioner/heater near us so it didn 't require the whole place to be heated for that one table to be bearable. Staff did their best at the time, other than not letting us know in advance so we could change our plans. The focus of the evening was on the christmas parties that were coming in later and having their pre selected Christmas menu. Overall, we 've had good experiences here in the past. During the Christmas period just check the normal menu is availble unless you are booking the Christmas menu."

We stumbled upon this restaurant in London while walking tonight and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located upstairs and is managed by two chefs.

beautiful old pub and restaurant in a fantastic location. eating was wonderful, well presented and really good value. the service was also in order, as it was new years eve and the restaurant was very busy. do not hesitate to rebook.
