Would not recommend this place for a meal we had a lunchtime meal fish chips chicken chips fish was ok chicken was terrible we couldn’t eat the chips

Food was good, service was quick. Does seem that all the waiting staff could do with more training however. Overall a pleasant experience and I would visit again.

Disappointed visited Saturday with the kids to be seated and ignored for 25minutes before we gave up and left despite the young server taking orders from all around us. Ver carta

Ordered 3 items as starters for just snack, 40 mins still waiting., others came in after and got their food before us. Asked where food was told on its way now, (sure they forgot) 10 minutes later 1 item then 5mins after the other then...

Took over an hour to place food order, took another hour to come and ask what we'd ordered as they'd forgot. Then another half hour to check again what we'd ordered as they'd forgot a second time and then another twenty minutes to say they's... Ver carta

Located conveniently on the main road leading into Bakewell, this restaurant is a great place to stop for a delicious pie and a pint! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they have efficient Covid precautions in place. The interior is typically decorated in the style of a late Jacobean Inn, dark but comfortable.

Went for lunch ordered 3 Sausage Dinners and a Scampi and Chips Chips cold but didn't have time to complain as needed to back at coach station. Thought I'd have enough time as we went in at 1.50 and needed to meet coach at 3.30. Our meals arrived on table at 2.45 after asking twice Must say table cleared super fast only just put my knife and fork down and my plate was gone shame nice pub but service in kitchen needs great improvement I feel I know what I'm talking about as I work in hospitality my self Ver carta
