The Stables - Carta

A small restaurant with a friendly staff that was a great last-minute discovery. The pub can get very crowded. The food was satisfying and the service was efficient.

The Stables is the best place to eat in the world. They serve real home-cooked food with a delicious taste and generous portions. The owners and staff are exceptional. I absolutely love this place.

Whilst the stables is always got a great county pub vibe, the food tonight was exceptional, panack was the best I’ve tasted and portion huge. Staff and service first class, and very reasonably priced Ver carta

Great pub, food was great. Pity about most of the staff. Greeted by a staff member who was rude and abrupt. Stood at the bar to be ignored by 2 staff members then they served 2 people before me knowing I was there first! Like I said great place and lovely food, shame about the staff.

Just left the stables after some tasty food for lunch. My husband had the steak ale pie which he loved and being a vegetarian I got the veg mozzarella ciabatta with delicious chunky chips. All the staff were very friendly and it was very good value for money. The pub inside is lovely and quirky.

Called here today after work for lunch with my Husband. He had the Salmon and risotto I had the Steak and ale pie with mash and it was absolutely delicious. We had a lovely chilled bottle of wine to go with it and were so happy with the service too. It was really busy when we called so we were pleased they could fit us in as we hadn’t booked. Had an amazing experience today here. The food was tremendous as it was last time we were here, we came back because of the warm greeting we received last time from the waitress with the red hair. We were so happy to see her there again and again we got greeted and seated without prior booking. I ordered the chicken burger and there was a choice between battered or plain and she was great in recommending, I went with the battered and I am so pleased I did. Can’t wait to come back. All the staff were super friendly. Thank you.

We had an excellent lunchtime experience at The Stables. Despite not having a booking, Nikki was able to find us a table. Our drinks were promptly served by a friendly and professional young lady. Although the food took a bit longer to arrive, it was well worth the wait. The Hunters Chicken and grilled Chicken burger were both hot and delicious. Nikki checked in with us before we paid the bill to ensure our visit was satisfactory. We felt very welcome and valued as customers. The staff at The Stables set a great example for other local eateries and pubs. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

This a very nicely decorated, quaint pub that seems to serve a nice selection of food. Staff were exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere was decent (hard to judge as there was only mine and 1 other party in) no loud music and tables were a comfortable distance from each other. However, as an allergy sufferer I notified the member of staff who said it was unlikely I could have any of the food at all. She, quite rightly, asked the chef who refused to take my order on the allergy basis which I completely understand as a small establishment not all allergies can be catered to. They did absolutely adhere to all legislation relating to allergies and I appreciate their “better safe than sorry” atti... Ver carta
