The food here is in one word. Excellent. I was shocked to receive this meal in a Pub. You have to eat here. Fine dining in a Pub. Have the Phesant

Absolutely huuuge portions, of really good honest pub food. The Sunday roast is enough for two, so go hungry! All the trimmings, and helpful barstaff. Child and dog friendly too!

Stopped in here for a quick round and some chips. The chips were great and they had a good selection of beers. They had the fireplace going which was great. Would recommend popping in here for a drink. Ver carta

Great find. Well worth getting out of Edinburgh City Centre where pre bookings were order of the day. Able to walk in. Excellent for watching live football with v large screen. Great range of beers and lagers too. Lovely atmosphere.

The food was good. I had a beef dinner. The only thing that let it down was the gravy. I don't no what was in there but it spoilt it. The portions was big, but to big for me. I have a small appetite, but good for those who eat more. It was good value for money, but the gravy spoilt it. The price was £17:99

If the people that own the antiquary ever wonder why the baile is packed and their bar is empty, look no further than your rude bar maids. They behave as if customers are an inconvenience. Rude, rude, rude. Me and my group of friends will not be back. Left due to rudeness and wished we’d been in baile earlier! Ver carta

I have been drinking here now for 10+ years, Danika and staff always make me feel welcome and are more than helpful in my constant requests for live football and table reservations! Great food also, the Sunday Roast is the best I've had in Stockbridge, just a great welcoming pub with great staff, keep up the good work

A heroic Highlander burger and a Scottish rugby effort against France saw the near impossible.....running the French close in the rugby and Thistly Cross cider and a slice of haggis on a burger for nearly causing heartburn, at the close result until the final try. Food, drink atmosphere and location a more than apt compliment to the sporting occasion!

We found this pub on trip advisor, we wanted good homemade gastro food and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely chunky chips and a meat pie ! Delicious! We had read that the staff had been rude ….. couldn’t disagree more . A lady with short hair even went as far as showing us a pie before we ordered to give us an idea of what it was ! Great service !
