"We popped in last week and had the baked Camembert as a snack. It was really lovely so we decided to go back with my son and his girlfriend. The Camembert didn’t have garlic or seeds on a previously but was ok. The kofta starter was minimal and nothing special. The turkey and beef roasts were presented nicely but no green vegetables, the parsnip was hard and the overall flavours remarkable in their absence. The hunters chicken was well received and tasty but peas would have been nicer than a mound of plain rocket. I asked for a small glass of red to go with my meal and it took until 2/3 through my meal to arrive. It was a large so I tried to gain attention but that proved difficult as it did when we tried to get tue bill. For £103.00 I would hope to have a better experience. Generally a nice atmosphere and setting/ friendly waitress. I raised the issues when asked how our meal has been and got the old “sorry!”. Don’t think I’d rush back to eat here."

eating was absolutely fantastic; it was very enjoyed; also hot piercing. it was very busy in the tame otter, last Thursday, but service was excellent. will definitely return.

the tame otter is a beautiful place to eat at the canal. the service is always pleasant and efficient and there is a good choice of food and drinks. it would be highly recommended.

The place and service was really good. The food was disappointing I will not be rushing to return there. My slow cooked beef was soft in the middle but hard on the edge as if it was recooked or dried out.

the food was good! both starters were delicious! scallops prawns prawn mango cocktail . although the slowly boiled pig more like a 'roast pork' dinner. it didn't fall apart! but all in all it was a beautiful meal.

Been here a few times before and knew my wife would like it as a surprise for her birthday. We were early but still showed to our table. Had to wait a while to order drinks and wait again to order food. The food arrived the food was good by not a good portion size for the money in my opinion. Staff not very attentive.

that was a catch up with my sisters that I had not seen for a while, we were not the tame otter for a series of years I and my one sister had fish and chips that the fish was not even edible in the did there was no fish in the diligent and my chips were terrible, although my sister had a tiny piece of fish in her teig was also given a little bit terrible, even though we had not been a little
