"Sundays? Well worth the trip. I ate there last sunday, and i've never seen the place so busy, but also so vibrant. This is however only the 6th time I have visited. We were offered drinks in the bar and then the manager provided us with a full menu and a sunday lunch menu, there was more to chose from than I can even remember, but finally we decided and placed our order. After probably waiting for 15 minutes we were taken to our table for our starters and soon after we had our mains, I had steak, my wife had a beef dinner. We were offered desserts but had to decline, far too full for that In total, we spent just over 2 hours there and a little under £50, but it was definitely worth...read more"

Over priced. Ate there two years ago and will never return. Paid £8 for a cheese sandwich and chips. Tasteless cheese and soggy chips. The most locally sourced item was probably the bread from Morrisons!

innocent renter. here a few times before eating was good, but today was under boiled ie chips soggy brot doffy, but the main grip is the renter whose attitude and hearty every time we were in, it was so off put 2day that we did not back, feel them so sorry for the staff who are all very nice and friendly Ver carta

I was in the yew tree several times and was never disappointed. I usually go when I have something to celebrate as I think the restaurant is something special and a great pleasure. had a fabulous night on a wine tasting evening to celebrate a birthday, that was excellent eating and the wine experts on the hand were very informative. personal friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. a great culinary experience.

Yummy Yummy Yew Tree. I've eaten at the Yew Tree many times, the menu is always really good when you consider I'm a vegtarian and my Hubby is a fussy Turk !!! We are both really well catered for and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we are happy with our meals. Staff are great, very friendly, I can't fault it, I'd recommend this family run pub to anyone who appreciates good food and great ambience.

The perfect experience.. I wouldn't be able to fault The Yew Tree Inn if I tried! The beautiful, serene location is breath-taking and makes it a place you cannot pass without visiting. As soon as you enter you feel welcome, as all of the staff are polite, friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide range of food which I was glad to learn is all locally produced. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Yew Tree and would recommend it to anyone for any occasion. Ver carta

changed hands and is terrible. last Sunday we are there for Sunday dinner. the menu says freshly cooked, but we saw how the cooked meat pulled out and heated it. second the bratkartoffels, roasted? certainly not, only deep fried for £13 took the meal to come over an hour, and the beef cud only to be compared with a leather shoe. the renter was not there this day, so we called the following day. he promised to talk to the team and contact us back; he has never if you want a good Sunday dinner, go somewhere else, this place is great time downhill and we have to choose with our feet!

a real tasty bite. the yew tree was recommended to us. from the beginning when I called a reservation, the manager andrew was really nice and friendly. the yew tree is a small jewel, hidden, but good to find. when we arrived, we were asked to take a place in the lounge and got a menu to browse. a lot of choice and a lot of directed. the thing that stood before our meal was so beautiful and relaxed and made us feel very special. our meal was really amazing. the starters were beautiful. the sirloinsteak should die. we love red meat, and that was really the best we tasted for the old one. it is local in the ribbed valley. I had...more

"Cruising the Leeds Liverpool canal yesaterday on a hire canal boat with 8 other family and friends for a long delayed special birthday celebration we decided to stop to look for refreshments and a meal in Adlington. Walking round the village we stumbled across this restaurant on the main street and asked if they had a table for 9, we weren't sure they would have room as there was a Country Fair on and the streets and pubs were very busy. We were welcomed in and given a large table by their very attentive staff who immediately proceeded to see we were settled in and gave us menus whilst taking our orders for drinks. After being given time to select our food from the very wide choices on the menu, our order was taken, each of us chosing one main course but all varied. The food was served some little time later again with their pleasant staff personally attending to see that all was in order and we were allowed to enjoy, yes really enjoy, our choice from the freshly prepared food, pasta, pizza, soup and chips which were all delicious, generous in portions and very reasonable in price. The surrounings are rustic, very clean and modern and there is plenty of room for all the patrons to eat undisturbed by comings and goings and a complete absence of music which in some places can spoil the atmosphere when too loud. Very impressed by this lovely, welcoming restaurant and cannot speak highly enough of the ambience, pleasant welcoming staff, quality of food and reasonable prices. We certainly will hope to visit again. Thanks to all at Bistecca Mediteranean."
