Don't walk by this gem. The wild boar was amazing as was the roast pork. Sides were tasty and filling. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Good service staff speak english and have english menus which is good. Food wasn't the best we have had in germany but it was ok for lunch!

We had coffee and hot chocolate sitting outside in the sunshine. Pleasant staff that speak English...hot chocolate was nice but I didn’t like the coffee very much.

I sat outside and enjoyed the passing parade while having a lovely green tea and apple strudel. All was very good with helpful English speaking staff, fast and friendly service. Popular little spot for good reason.

we had lunch here on a hot day. personal really helpful and efficient. (English menu version on request.) we had a mix of vegetarian and fleshy. good quality and generous portions. they would highly recommend if they were authentic. German courts would like to try to make reasonable plans.

solid traditional farewell, pleasantly served by warm and friendly staff who all speak very good English. we have enjoyed bamberger sausages here in the heart of the historic city on a cool winter day, which was warmed up by the hospitality and the local beer. beautiful that we have made reservations, there, everyone was filled. I would go back to a heartbeat!

It is a place where cooking is just done. The ribeye looked like a hard rock in the sea. The sauce was too much and the pepper were like one thousand small islands. Digesting the meat was a bit tough. The place needs a philosophical...and actaual refurbishment. I think it is a matter of management and not the staff who served us and who had done their part well.

Zeiss Stube has been a Bamberg institution since forever, it is often disregarded as merely a quick meal stop-gap but it is so much more. The kitchen produces traditional German food, to be precise Frankische Art and it is excellent. Try the succulent pork shoulder...with soft dumplings wasked down with smoked beer. Great service, reasonable prices and a wonderful location.

This patio café is right beside a busy square and a fountain with huge stone blocks on which local people sit to relax after shopping in the surrounding stores. AND they have the Bamberg special, rauchbier, smoked beer that really doesn't taste like bacon. It's...just a good tasty roasted malt beer. The service here is very friendly and fast and the fast food looked very good.
