"We visited as a family of 17 while on holiday and were pleased that the restaurant made special arrangements to accommodate us away from other diners, which was great with six young children in our group. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Additionally, the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant! "The Hase is an excellent pub next to Hessle Church. There is a wide range of beers and lagers on offer including three cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, something a lot of pubs can't manage so full marks to the landlord. It is a bit of a tardis it looks small from the outside but it goes back a long way. The pub sells excellent food at reasonable prices, the staff are very friendly, a great pub for a drink or a bite to eat. Highly recommended. "2 of us booked as I heard it was nice and was really looking forward to trying here. We had 3 courses each and I was starving, my first 2 courses were fine, good pub grub. I ordered the sweet off the specials and unfortunately it was off, rancidly off. When they put it in front of me I could smell a horrible smell, I honestly didn’t think it would be the sweet so decided to try it, I had to spit it out. I could only describe the taste and smell as out of date cottage cheese and that is being polite. I did make the owner/manager aware and he took it away. He came back to say he had tasted it and it was fine, I explained it really wasn’t and even the smell was stomach wrenching but he continued to dispute this. His attitude wasn’t nice if I am honest. I was polite and discreet. Although he did not charge for the sweet I would suggest that maybe how he deals with customers and how he makes them feel should be addressed. I never, ever complain but when something is as off as this was I really do not expect the manager/owner to come out seem argumentative and then say there was nothing wrong with this. I just hope the sweet was taken straight off the menu as would have made someone ill. Such a shame as I left feeling very disappointed and I accept mistakes are made but due to the attitude I won’t be back nor recommend here due to how it was dealt with."

"First and last experience with hessle tandoori. Ordered over £40 worth of food online with a 45 minute delivery time. Order eventually came 1.5hours later with missing items. Rang to tell them and they said they would get the delivery driver to drop them off. 20 minutes later, still not here. After being told a million times how busy they are (not a paying customers problem) I was told I would get a call back in 5 minutes. Another 15 minutes go by so I call back and get the phone put down on me as soon as I tell them my address. My partner rings and gets told how busy they are another 6,365 times. And that they will give us the missing items for free on our next order (next joke, we will not be ordering again). I tried to explain that a takeaway customer is still a paying customer, just like those in the restaurant and if I was sat in the restaurant I wouldn’t be happy waiting 2 hours and 20 minutes at this point and also wouldn’t be happy to pay for cold food whilst the rest of my order was still MIA 40 minutes after letting them know. Every person we spoke to (about 3 men in total) was all as rude as each other and I can’t believe the money we’ve paid for cold food. Will absolutely NEVER eat here again!"

"This is a fantastic Chinese takeaway! I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, boiled rice, chicken curry, and fried rice, and everything was delicious. I will definitely recommend it and return for more. By far, the best in the area!"
