Wirtshaus zum Neckartal

We were looking for a local restaurant, this one was the only one to be open at 3pm in the area. On a sunny day we enjoyed the excellent food on the scenic outside terrace.

In a nice quiet area, large outdoor seating area, and an intimate indoor atmosphere. Its selection of food is impressive: Cheese in hot iron plate, duck in mango sauce, and summer salad, etc. Truly a treat to all senses! Last visited: 7/2008

I know the place from it's old days more than 20 years ago - a Feudenheim classic. The food has evolved from originally more 'Hausmanns Kost' (traditional German Food) into kind of modern cuisine. I went there during the best time in Summer, enjoying the typical German Wheat Beer and several of their Pfifferling (a mushroom) dishes. All very tasty, served by attentive waiters.The place is a typical beer garden atmosphere with beautiful old trees providing shade during the day. Definitely worth a recommendation. Ver carta

A nice local restaurant in the depths of Feudenheim. Good selection of dishes, very enticing and a selection of specials on the black board. Always busy I would make a reservation especially at weekends. In the summer they have a lovely outdoor shaded area but again reserve a table reservations not possible for only two people which I thought was a bit poor espcially if I am saying i want to come and eat in your restaurant. Food is always tastey but I have to say a while after, my mouth feels rough from all the salt in the food they have a very heavy hand with it. We do not eat that much salt so maybe we are a bit more sensitive but we eat in many other places and do not feel like this. Serv...
