"Ordered from Hong Kong and was deeply disappointed. The chicken chow mein had a burned taste, portions were tiny, and to top it off, they confused vegetable croquettes for samosas. Won't be ordering again. When complaining to them, no apologies were given and offered lame excuses. Poor customer service! Ordered for over £50 and didn’t even have any free prawn crackers."

"We enjoy good food and have always enjoyed the food at Mazaar...especially the downtown Mazaar. It is customary for us to partake in their special menu on Valentines Day. This year was disappointing, I am sad to say. The fattoush salad was not up to their normal standards. The Hummus was good (we prefer their regular hummus). The Cheese Kebbeh app was dry and tasteless, the sushi app was good. (I am speaking for both of us here). The beef paillard was a bit tough, and the Halloumi Chicken was good. The dessert was dry and tasteless. We are considering a change of Valentine's Day custom."

"Great local spot to watch the sports and the atmosphere is definitely better than most pubs around. However, they are not adequately prepared for when it gets busy especially during obvious times such as big sports matches etc. They were unable to keep up with orders at the bar and half of the menu items were unavailable due to running out of key ingredients. This is easy to fix with some planning ahead by management. The food that was available was great and the overall atmosphere is good too and they have tv’s everywhere. Would recommend on casual days, not when there are big televised events though."

"This used to be my favorite pizza place for a long time; the pizzas were always very delicious. While the quality of the pizzas is still good, I feel that they have started to prioritize cost savings over the quantity and quality of ingredients. They have removed any pizzas with fish or prawns from the menu (which were some of my favorites). They used to include a small tub of chili oil with the pizza, but now it seems like it doesn't come with it anymore. In the past, if I asked for no mushrooms but wanted sweetcorn or peppers instead, it was never an issue. Now, if I want sweetcorn as a topping, it costs extra, even if it's in place of another topping that was previously included. I understand that Covid has affected many food establishments, but this place has been consistently busy throughout the pandemic and has received financial aid from the government. I believe that prioritizing saving or making a pound here and there can do more harm than good. There are many other pizza places in the area, including two other authentic Italian ones, so I will be exploring those instead. If you are not a regular customer, you may still find this place decent as the food is tasty and well-prepared. The prices are okay but on the expensive side for just pizza, especially now that they charge for every extra topping."

"very good in the did, many takeaways had always been the first class tasty meal, so decided to try the restaurant on new years eve, so glad we were with my wife and 2 years old granddaughter, the staff was very helpful and good at their work places and the menu also for the small! many thanks to her rajvoog for a beautiful evening and see her soon! eating was the best!"

"Great home-made style cakes and savory snacks. Right next to the brook in Maidenhead so has a pleasant view of the ducks and swans. Friendly staff and great tasting food. Plenty of seating but needs reorganization to help social distancing. Has some outdoor seating with a few with shade but most without. Could do with some more outdoor seating in the shade."

"A planned and very much looked forward to lunch left us feeling underwhelmed. The menu was amazing we had already chosen before we arrived) we had already also recommended the place to our South African friends before arrival as the photos and menu looked fabulous. Unfortunately, as we have found in other places over the summer, the service was way under par. We waited ages to be seated even though we had a reservation, I had to find someone to seat us in the end. We waited ages for someone to take our order , again I had to coax someone over. The restaurant was not understaffed but full of students and teenagers badly managed hanging around not really doing their job. In the catering trade myself and having 2 teenage daughters who work in hospitality whilst at uni , the staff need to managed and trained better. One was walking around with an iced coffee whilst we were without drinks. I think when the customers feel like they’re in the way and not welcomed as we did, they tend not to return regardless of how amazing the food is."

"We received excellent service the minute we walked through the door. We were immediately shown to our table and handed a menu and asked if we would like to order any drinks. The menu mentioned “our famous stag beef pie” this sometimes make you wonder what they base this statement on well I can tell you this is probably one of the best pies I have ever had. The pie was stuffed full of tender pieces of beef and the pastry surrounding it was amazing. I can see why it is award winning. There were six of us and two had the pie and four other different meals and every single one was amazing. The sticky toffee pudding which we had was also very moist and delicious. I can honestly say this is probably one of the best pubs I have ever eaten at. The menu was also reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this pub and I will definitely be visiting again if I am ever in the area."

"Beautiful pub lovely atmosphere. Nicely decorated It makes such a pleasant change to go in to a pub and be served at your table rather than have to go to the bar to order food. We were served by Mark. Friendly and efficient service. The food was delicious, nicely served and very filling. There is a great selection of second hand books that can be bought for £1.50 donation go to a Swan charity. There is an amazing and very large beer garden Blankets that can be borrowed to keep you warm outside or heated huts. Fruit and veg is grown in the garden too. It was very impressive. Definitely worth a visit"

"Honestly where to start. Lunch rush was clearly over and there were only 4 other tables in there. Plenty of staff on but you wouldn 't have known it. Waited ages to order, when we finally were able too the server was so unfriendly and clearly didnt want to be there. We ordered 2 kids drinks along with the adult ones, they were not delivered to the table. When we asked for them AFTER the kids had finished their food, the waiter said I already gave them to you to which he then looked at the table and went oh I only bought the cokes and coffee, do you still want them or should I just refund them .. kinda defied to point of us asking for them in the first place.... he then said only 1 was ordered (we had asked for 2 from the start) and if we only wanted 1.. again we stated still 2 so he added it to the bill and finally got them. We had water on the table upon arrival but no glasses for it, again we had to ask for these after we ordered. The kids had then spilt the water to which I instantly asked for tissues so I could clear it up, again was ignored, after about 10 minutes and using our cutlery napkins to try and mop some of it up, I went up to the other two servers just standing around and asked for tissues and more cutlery as ours was dirty. Again a few minutes later they finally came over with them. The original server was then seen/heard raising his voice at the chef and then the rest of the team who were I 'm the glasses area. The food was barely warm when it arrived, the pizza was edible but the pasta bolengse was inedible. but we had been out since 10am that morning and it was now gone 3pm by the time we got the food and the kids were getting restless and hungry so we just ate it and paid and left. We were then given the wrong paper bill and the card machine amount was different so we checked the app to see the actual bill and paid it via the card machine. We then let the server know and he held us there to check with his manager as he then thought he paid the wrong table off after us telling him it was just the paper one that was incorrect. Honestly, the service here was awful especially when there were so many staff there and only 4 other tables. We will not be returning."

"The pub is located directly on the river hames and overlooks the beautiful landscape. The vegan food was okay, Bland taste. Unfortunately, it is probably the best in this area for vegan food. To start my partner and I shared the Flatbread. It was very simple, its flat bread with hummus and some salad that needs more hummus. I had the cauliflower wedge as head, it wasn't what I expected, I thought it was similar to a cauliflower steak. It was just a cauliflower on a tiny part of grain. It tasted good, not much taste and quite oily. Its portion size was like a whole cauliflower and a tiny part of grain and salad. My partner had the coconut cure. That was very delicious, but different/white. It was more of one side of mixed curry sauce with rice. It was a very small curry portion and the rice was overcooked. Overall, the taste of the food was average and each dish felt like there was something missing. Looks like they're more interested in making it look beautiful than the taste. "Have been here several times before as it is a great meeting point for me and my friends. I have never had a problem at this pub on previous visits, but today was absolutely outstanding!! Greeted by a lovely, welcoming, polite, smiling host called Louise. Ordered my beer as my two friends had already arrived and got theirs and sat with them in the garden area. We chose food, one had the prawn salad ciabata and a portion of chips, one had the scampi and chips, I went for the sausage ciabata and a portion of chips. It wasn't a long wait before the food came to table. The portion sizes are very considerable and I had difficulty eating all of mine which is a HUGE shame as it was delicious made with clearly great produce, which is definitely a big improvement on previous visits. The range of beers etc has also greatly improved. The outside of the pub now looks tremendous whilst the inside still maintains an oldie world charm, whilst being spotlessly clean and welcoming. It was also very busy Would I recommend this place? Definitely!!! Great staff, great beers, great food, friendly, clean and reasonably priced!!"

"Very disappointed with the scallops in ginger garlic. At you would expect fresh scallops but sadly this wasn’t the case. They tasted and had the same texture as crab sticks, so won’t be ordering this again. The sauce was way too runny as...well. My partner ordered beef in black bean sauce and unfortunately this too wasn’t up to much. Pretty tasteless and rubbery beef was the description he used. Next time we’ll use The Magic Wok in Egham. Fresh ingredients, with extremely polite service (unlike the voice on the other end of the phone at Jade Fountain and excellent value for money (pretty much half the price). I don’t normally like leaving a bad review but I really feel this restaurant should know better than to serve such poor quality food!"

"This place was lovely from the staff to the food and service. We arrived and was seated. We asked could we move if possible inside (would have been lovely to sit by the canal but our 4 year old daughter was getting cold) and the gentleman sorted it no problem. The staff manager I think the lady was called Denisa I'm not 100% was our waitress and she was brilliant and catered for our daughter making it fun for her. Would highly recommend this place and would visit again without a doubt if in the area again. Thanks"

"We always enjoy coming to this cosy pub on our visits to Windsor, and today was no exception!We had a nice friendly welcome, and the staff were very helpful with explaining what a ‘substantial’ meal would be to accompany our drinks in line with government restrictions at the time of writing.We really loved the carrot soup of the day a real winter warmer on what was a chilly december day.We also really enjoyed our big chunky tuna sandwiches and tasty salads too all at a very reasonable price from what was a great menu.The atmosphere was cosy and quiet, with a big log fire in the other bar and we loved all the christmas decs.Well done whoever chose the music too it was mainly classic rock music, on at a low volume, and really added to the enjoyment of our visit. It’s great when establishments get this small (but important) thing right.We really enjoyed our visit, and it was great to come back this real jewel in Windsor’s crown literally on the doorstep of the castle back open. If you’ve never been, come and see for yourself!"

"I have been going to this pub for many years and have never got around to writing a review. The Sunday lunch here is without a doubt the BEST in Berkshire. We travel a lot and do not eat Sunday lunch anywhere else, as compared with the Perseverence everywhere is second rate. Perfect roast potatoes, home made Yorkshire pudding, 6 fresh veggies, yes 6 ! and portions to fill you to the brim. Excellent"

"Chose this venue as it was on the River and had pretty views despite crispy weather. From start to finish the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The menu choice was great and i liked the fact that they changed the specials. Food was delicious. We were there for a small gathering and the met all our special needs and was appreciated for their efforts. I had also been there for breakfast a few days earlier which is what led to our lunch reservation. The venue had a lovely breakfast menu with plenty of choice and the venue was bright and inviting. Personally i think it is great value for money. We were not dissapointed with any of the visits. Keep it up!!"
