"This was described to me as “an institution”. I totally get it. Borchardt is frequented by politicians, famous figures, rich folk and tourists alike. It is a classic German restaurant. The interior is reminiscent of former glory days, but had been well maintained so it doesn’t feel dated. The staff that helped us was very attentive and obviously experienced. They were pro active and professional when helping us, and had a perfect absent/present ratio. Meaning: they were always around when you need them but not overbearing. As we were brought here as guests, I chose from the ultimate classic, the schnitzel. I did get to try from some other dishes too. I have to mention the speed at which the food was brought too, we never felt we had to wait and I could see other tables were served quickly too. The dishes themselves, again, were classics: but neatly done. Not too much details but basically honest takes on the dishes. Prices are moderate to high, but not absurd at all. Especially in this area, we were pleasantly surprised by the cost. Still, more than your usual schnitzel, but looking at the whole picture it seemed fair."

I love this place. here everyone visits berlin is a very special stop. The only one is gone to go. steaks are meh. the service is slow and so close to terrible.

We have often read about it and heard a lot of good stuff. The staff is very friendly and leaves the wish from the eyes. How to do that, you didn't want to tell me? The food is very high quality and tastes excellent. I would like to thank you for this TOLLE experience!

Not only the attentive local staff was the total hit during my visit, but also the unique ambience. From my point of view, a meeting is recommended there all round.The chairs are very cozy and the distance between the tables I find very reasonable. There you don't get the feeling of dining cucumbers in the can evening.As far as I'm concerned, my husband and I have already ordered the whole card up and down. The dish was served very hard.
