Braewick Cafe And - Carta

We stopped in on our bus tour and loved this little spot. The tea was delicious as were the home made shortbread. It’s a great little cafe with warm, lovely staff!

We went up there for lunch it was lovely. The staff were very friendly. Had burger with chips, salad and coleslaw it was delicious. Definitely worth a trip up there.

Popped in here on way back from Eshaness lighthouse walk Lady serving couldn’t have been more helpful took our order asked us to sit down. 2 coffees 2 forks to share a slice of homemade cake. Beautiful views helpful, friendly staff. Well worth a visit for the coffee the views are stunning. Ver carta

Driving out to the lighthouse we decided to call in for a drink but noticed they offered a number of gluten free options so ordered a blt sandwich and tea which was really nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stop for a meal or snack and take in the spectacular view.

Breathtaking sea views from the cafe’s panoramic windows or outside terrace. Large spacious dining area with comfortable chairs and tables. The home baked scones are delicious, and the extensive main course menu is impressive. Dishes are fresh, tasty and attractively presented, and portions are very generous.

Stopped here for lunch on our tour of the North West of Shetland. The views were stunning, both from the restaurant itself with its many windows, and from the outside seating (limited) where we sat. Menu choice I felt was somewhat limited, although the food we had was very enjoyable (with the exception of the chips which were hard and overcooked hopefully just a one off). Ver carta

We stayed on the small campsite adjacent to the cafe in our motorhome and thought we’d have breakfast before continuing our tour of Shetland. We had a table in the window overlooking the stunning cliffs and stacks of the Eshaness coastline, a definite room with a view, We both decided on the full breakfast which took a time to arrive but was well cooked (except the toast which we sent back to be cooked properly! overall friendly staff, service a bit slow, good food, except the toast and stunning views

The facilities were good and clean and staff lovely but our stay was spoilt by 10 to 20 kids running around and been loud and screaming at the top of there lungs till 11:30pm there was nobody to police them parents did not care also the door to the facilities slammed open and shut till the early hours ppl coming and going not a quiet stay or enjoyable. We are local to the island and genially felt sorry for the older guests staying there that had traveled a long way to be put out by unruly children not good . I know the camp site can not police all the time but they should be aware of this .

It’s more of a good cafe than a restaurant and it is also a caravan and motorhome site plus wigwams colourful wooden weatherproof huts). It’s at Braewick not Brae which is 15 miles south. It has all the facilities that a caravan/ motorhome site needs. Electric hook up, drive over drains, black water disposals, clean water available, good parking surfaces. Problem is it takes a bit of finding these facilities! Even the pitches take a bit of locating as only a couple are numbered. All the rest have been washed off, blown away etc. The showers are looking old and are difficult to manage. There is a playground and the beach is 5 mins walk but bear in mind this is 1000 km north of London, nearest... Ver carta
