No sé si simplemente no les gustan los extranjeros, pero el servicio era inexistente aquí. Varios miembros del personal nos dejaron esperando en la mesa totalmente ignorados durante unos buenos veinte minutos hasta que pudimos pedir bebidas. Y eso fue incluso ...

Encontré este lugar justo enfrente de la hauptbahnhof, pero escondido en una calle lateral. El exterior es bastante discreto pero el interior es encantador. El personal era amable, la comida era increíble y el precio era razonable para la calidad. Una buena selección de platos alemanes para algunos.

I don't know if they just don't like foreigners, but the service was just non-existent here. We were left waiting at table - totally ignored by several staff - for a good twenty minutes until we were able to order drinks. And that was even after I'd got up and asked at the bar after about 10 minutes (in German) if anyone was coming to take our order.A great shame because the food - when it came - was quite excellent, the beer tasty, and the overall ambience very agreeable.

This restaurant was discovered by our Belgian friends: it is actually very central, but hidden away in a side street. We had a very pleasant evening here, starting with a little aperitif in the bar area. We then moved to the restaurant area, which is below street level. This is nicely decorated, with modern art on the walls. Service was friendly. The food offer was a selection of steaks, Schnitzels (including the original Wiener, made of veal), fish... all nicely prepared. We all enjoyed out dishes. Some of us even had a bit of space for desserts: pancake with fruits and chocolate mini cakes (see pictures): yummy!

After the complete renovation of the Kiepenkerl restaurant in August 2016 and after reopening with a slightly modified concept, I was looking forward to the new facility and the menu of the Kiepenkerl. On Thursday last week I was a guest with friends and we were not disappointed. The new room concept, the modified color scheme combined with a sophisticated, new lighting and minimalist decoration, represents a significant improvement to my taste.
