From start to the end of our meal the staff at Lucia were excellent. Apart from the service and food which was perfect. Special thanks to Alex who went over and above sorting out some gifts for my daughter who is called Lucia as we can never find gifts with her name on,

We dined in the courtyard for dinner, even in February, thanks to the efficient heaters keeping us warm. We started with delicious fried calamari. My wife enjoyed the mushroom risotto, and I loved the pepperoni pizza. The service was a bit chaotic but overall okay. We are glad we visited and would consider returning in the future.

10/10 for everything. Beautiful restaurant, lovely staff and amazing food. They have a full gluten free menu, available online, which is not short of options. My partner has a dairy intolerance and was able to order from the vegan menu and make some changes to the dishes. Would highly recommend to anyone with an allergy! We have been for my birthday visit for lunch and I must say that Jaden the young lady as the Hostess was the nicest and friendliest host we have ever come across. Such a warm welcome with a smile. We really enjoyed it so much we have come back this evening to see Jaden still with a big smile. Such a credit to Lucia to have such a wonderful person as your first point of contact.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, but we are so glad we did. Our experience was fantastic, thanks to our waiter Danny. He was attentive and nothing was too much trouble, all our food was served with a smile. The outdoor seating area made us feel like we were abroad, with plenty of heaters to keep us warm. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We will definitely be returning when we visit York again.

Tried booking a meal at Lucia 's York phoned the restaurant and was told to book online. Went online and tried to book for 4 people, website bumbled and booked for 2 erroneously. Tried to amend online unsuccessfully.....then called the restaurant to change reservation. 3 times. phone answered and then call dropped. WHAT A NIGHTMARE !!!! Will pop into a restaurant on the hoof instead. Meals hit and miss so not a loss. Thanks for nothing and Lucia 's now offers 'Bespoke booking with concierge '......what a hoot.
