Nadon Thai Morpeth - Carta

We had in the words of my teenage daughter a ‘scrumptious’ meal. Very good service and the food was delicious, one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in a while.

Really enjoyed our visit to Nadon Thai in Morpeth. Food and service was good and the food very filling. The food could’ve been more flavourful, though, but overall it was good.

We visited on a Monday early evening so it was quiet. Just caught the happy hour 5.30-6.30 so went for that menu. Tempura vegetables and sweetcorn cakes both delicious. Main courses pad Thai king prawn with noodles, red Thai curry with chicken. Again delicious. All in all it was very enjoyable. Ver carta

I don't know what happened to this restaurant. The food used to be great. Great flavour and great prices. It used to be our go to takeaway and we loved to be able to support a local business. The last three meals have been very disappointing. One was in the restaurant and other two were takeaways. Bland, tasteless good. tonight's dinner went into the bin. It's a real shame

Visiting Morpeth to see family and it was our anniversary. We visited Thailand in June 2022 and love the culture and cuisine so chose to eat here. We were not disappointed, it’s was DELICIOUS!! Flavours were beautiful, dish sizes were great and very fresh ingredients. Really did have a lovely meal. We would visit again 100% and recommend to anyone. Only two notifications for improvement on customer services: waiter was chewing gum when we arrived and both waiters didn’t really speak much or engaged in conversation.

We called in after making a last minute decision to eat out and luckily there was a late cancellation for an hour later so I’d highly recommend you pre book where possible, as it is really popular. The atmosphere was lovely and nice ambience, with lovely decor, plants and low lighting. The toilets are nice and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful answering questions about the menu. Lots of options…we each choose a starter and a curry with rice from the main menu and it was really filling. The food was delicious and we would definitely return. Ver carta

After hearing such good things from friends and family we decided to visit on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was half full and service was prompt. Starters came and were ok, but not to the standard I have had in other Thai venues. Mains were dreadful a black pepper beef in a watery sauce that seemed to be the same as the over baring sauce that came on the side of mixed vegetables, and I had a duck dish where the duck must simply have been deep fried it was inedible. Swiftly got up paid the bill and left. Would not return for sub standard non authentic Asian food.

We have been using Nadon Thai Morpeth for many years since opening. Had takeaway at the weekend and it was not up to the usual standard. The sweet chilli sauce for the Thai Fishcakes was missing. The salad with the sides had been put into the bottom of the tray and was literally an inedible soggy mush. The yellow curry had only one tomato. It used to include small potatoes, but not now. The portions are significantly smaller I can understand the cost of living has had to mean businesses have had to rethink things but here the price has increased at the same time as the portions have reduced. Please don’t be complacent Nadon Thai. The Morpeth population will continue to support you as a good...

Nadon Thai is one of those restaurants I 've been meaning to visit for a few years now and now I have I 'm somewhat underwhelmed. The decor which looks great on photographs is decidedly dated and somewhat tacky (needs a good dose of TLC) although the front of house staff are pleasant and efficient. My biggest dissappointment though was the food. To start I had the barbequed pork which was fatty and tough and the garnish lack lustre. This was followed by Beef Penang Curry being served with a thin soup like consistency when in all other Thai restarants I 've visited it is served almost dry with only a small amount of rich, thick sauce, and the beef was tough.
