"one of my men and mine is on the go whether it's breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. they have an appetizer menu that is really good and the specials are always fantastic and served only during these times. I think it's like 2 courses for £10-£15 and free coffee refills. Fav dishes? uou wobbles soup safe. it's the proper way. the fish soup! oh, that's my lunch I usually command, and it's not too fish. And I love snails (but I guess not many people do, so I won't say much about it). everything with her blue cheese sauce! also in winter they have truthahn with blue cheese sauce (and I don't like truthahn). and do not let them be set with blue cheese. it is not very blue. more cheating with the salty kick. oh and their kartoffels that come with the men? dessert? my man loves the chocolate cake (a bit too chocolaty for me). Of course, the cream brûlée is great. but foreseeing it is a really great part and being a French place? forget the order of a special kind of wein. her table wine is very good. last? no food evaluation. some of the waiters have right beating! hmmmm, lol."

I came here because of desserts and it was quite amazing that the staff was very friendly and came out to help us get a place. I liked this place very much.

We ordered onion soup, goat cheese, sea bass, and salmon. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is situated in a lively area with a lovely atmosphere. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I highly recommend it.

The food in this restaurant is amazing. French cuisine is not usually high on my list, but this was mind changing. I had beef bourguignon which was the best restaurant meal I have had in a while. My 3 other diners all said there dishes were excellent. Nothing much more to say, other than the staff were very good, and if in the capital again, will definitely revisit. Ver carta

So good. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere great and the food fantastic. I had the salmon with saffron, coriander mussels and my partner had the grilled Toulouse sausages with mustard. His was good but mine was superb. Generous servings and plenty of bread. We declined desert just so as to savour the mains more. Besides, we have another few nights here; the chances of us returning are very high!

My favorite dish on the menu has to be the mussels! They are cooked to perfection, served with just the right amount of sauce for dipping fresh, crusty French bread at the end of the meal. When I'm in a particularly Parisian mood, I also indulge in some snails, which are quite hard to find in Scotland. Paired with a glass of house white wine, it guarantees a delightful evening. It’s only when you leave that you remember you’re not in France! Pros: fantastic food, wonderful staff, pet-friendly, great atmosphere Cons: none! Cost per person: £20 including wine

I can honestly say I've never had a better meal than the one I had in Edinburgh at this restaurant. From start to finish, everything was excellent. I tried the hot camembert, which was delicious. My partner had the snails and enjoyed them immensely. The entrecôte steak was divine, cooked to perfection (medium rare). The house red wine was quite palatable, which is impressive since I can be picky about wine! The desserts were beautiful – my partner absolutely loved the lemon melissa and declared it the best he’s ever had. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book a table for two nights later so we could try other items on the menu. While it’s not extensive, the choices they offer are wond... Ver carta

My friend Louise and I were in and around the grassmarket yesterday for a trawl through some of the antiques and vintage shops. Grub was needed, but from past experience, I find a lot of the restaurants in the area seem to be of the mass 'punt it out to tourists ' ilk, knowing they 're not likely to be repeat visitors. We hovvered between Little Italy and Petit Paris (and with absence of the choice of Small Scottish, or Tiny Thai) we went for the Gallic option. We were offered seats inside, but took a brave notion to dine en plein air (outside); in October. I know! The combination of the checked tablecloths, friendly French staff, and and big food made this one of the best lunches in ages. W...

Friendly and Delicious. We chose Petit Paris for our first night in Edinburgh just for something different than pub fare and they did not disappoint! They have a great location right in the middle of the Grassmarket open plaza area along with many other restaurants and a large outside seating area (the inside dining area appears to be very small). The staff were very friendly, even when our baby was protesting his missed nap. The tomato basil soup was decent, but the main dishes (chicken with blue cheese bacon, and salmon with saffron, coriander, and mussel sauce) were delicious. Also, the crème brûlée was probably the best I've ever had with a light custard and no burning of the caramelized...
