"one of my men and mine is on the go whether it's breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. they have an appetizer menu that is really good and the specials are always fantastic and served only during these times. I think it's like 2 courses for £10-£15 and free coffee refills. Fav dishes? uou wobbles soup safe. it's the proper way. the fish soup! oh, that's my lunch I usually command, and it's not too fish. And I love snails (but I guess not many people do, so I won't say much about it). everything with her blue cheese sauce! also in winter they have truthahn with blue cheese sauce (and I don't like truthahn). and do not let them be set with blue cheese. it is not very blue. more cheating with the salty kick. oh and their kartoffels that come with the men? dessert? my man loves the chocolate cake (a bit too chocolaty for me). Of course, the cream brûlée is great. but foreseeing it is a really great part and being a French place? forget the order of a special kind of wein. her table wine is very good. last? no food evaluation. some of the waiters have right beating! hmmmm, lol."

Petit Paris was a charming and quirky restaurant, with very friendly (French) staff. The food and wine was good, and good value too.

The food was wonderfully authentic, and the ambience was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly. The wine was excellent—nothing overly fancy, just great French wine. I especially loved that it was served in tumblers instead of fancy wine glasses.

Our first visit in some time reminded us of the vibrant charachter filled environment that is Petit Paris. On a busy saturday evening the food, service and general ambience were all of the highest order. We won't leave it quite so long to return next time.

A fun place to eat due to the good humour and professionalism of the staff. The food was excellent as was the wine and all very well priced. A notable vote of confidence was the number of French visitors eating there too. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Edinburgh and we will recommend it to all our friends.

Petit Paris, Edinburgh We experienced a lengthy wait of 55 minutes for our meal, although we only ordered a main course, which turned out to be excellent. Our waitress, who was from Nimes, provided outstanding service. One downside was that the wine was served in tumblers; they really should consider offering wine glasses at the very least. I don’t recall this happening in Paris, but perhaps it’s just part of the ambiance?

Petit Paris, Grassmarket, Edinburgh This little place looks really unassuming from the outside, but quickly filled up with bookings so is very popular and for good reason. There are approx 6 choices from each course and you are served wine in tumblers very gallic! Snails are available for the adventurous. I had the Toulouse sausages (fantastic! while the rib eye steak melted in the mouth. Waiters were fantastic and very attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

Went to Petit Paris a year ago really enjoyed it but was a little disappointed this time. The fish soup starter was really just a crab bisque. lucky for me I like crab, but it wasn't what was expected. Venison casserole was very tasty but the venison a little tough. My partners boudin noire starter was very nice, but the fish casserole main was watery very salty. service was friendly during the meal, but we were being chased out of the door at 10.20 on a Friday night as they wanted to close.

Petit Paris, Edinburgh We make it a point to visit this restaurant whenever we're in Edinburgh, and it consistently exceeds our expectations. Once again, the staff and service were exceptional. The ambiance truly makes you feel as though you've been transported to France, all while being just off the Grassmarket! The escargot appetizer was delightful, and the bouillabaisse was outstanding, although the portion was quite large and left us unable to finish it! We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Edinburgh.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
