"This place is quite popular, and it can be busy, making reservations a bit tricky. However, the staff goes above and beyond to inform customers about wait times, which is appreciated. While waiting might be necessary due to the small size of the pub and kitchen, the food is certainly worth it. One suggestion I have is to consider offering child-sized portions from the adult menu. This isn't a critique, as my child thoroughly enjoyed his pizza, but just a thought. The owner is very community-minded, providing support to local groups and staying engaged with local issues. "6 of us ate here this evening. All meals were freshly cooked scampi moist/steak tender and cooked to perfection/ Greek Salad and Caesar Salad were yummy and so fresh and crunchy just delicious and two children loved their Goujons and Fish Fingers. "My friends and I decided to visit this restaurant on the first beautiful day of 2018 and spent the afternoon there. We sat outside on the terrace, enjoying the breathtaking view across Wiltshire, where we could even see the white horse. We asked if we could extend our afternoon tea for two to include a third person, and it was no problem. We opted for their afternoon tea mix, which was absolutely delicious and fresh. The sandwiches came first, with combinations like egg, ham, and cheese with pickles. Next came the homemade scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream, followed by a selection of sponge cakes with various fillings. We particularly enjoyed the lemon curd and chocolate sponges. The price was very reasonable at £7.40 per person, and we also treated ourselves to a glass of prosecco for £4.95. We couldn't resist ordering another pot of the refreshing tea. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, and even the restroom was well-maintained and had lovely lemon scented hand wash.
