"friendly staff serve hot fresh Thai dishes from the menu side of vegetarian and vegan options. the clear mushroom soup meets with expected aromen: zilantro (coriander,) kaffir limette, galangal and lemongrass, perfectly seasoned (not too hot, not mild). both were tasty, but strangely neither contain tofu nor aubergines. (I think the waiter has misunderstood ours. there was a [mistaken] cultural struggle against soy in Britain, so he probably thought that I wanted to avoid for this little place making a welcome evening for the hungry vegans demand Asian food near alton. a solid 3.5 stars."

"After a bad experience, the manager came to my house to apologise. At this point I have to say probably the best costumer service I have ever received. I was between surprised and delighted. Maybe the food was not right, but it s amazing to see how people are so devoted to their job and hobby (if I may add as i am a kitchen manager myself and I do love my job so much I even consider it a hobby) they go above and beyond to fix things. People still surprise you with their good acts. He offered me to try their food again on the house. And so I did. The food came in time, ther driver apologised again for the lateness of the last time. The food was hot and tasty. Very well taken care off (packaging,presentation) what is sometimes difficult with take aways. My kid who rarely eats anything new tryed and liked absolutely everything. As for us we ate everything. No left overs. Everything was nice,specially the murgh raani (we had to fight for the last bits). Thank you very much for your amazing costumer service and your food. Sadly we will be moving in September but I look forward to order again with you guys anytime soon before leaving Alton."

"We have just returned from a lovely one night stay here. A warm welcome greeted us and they were perfectly understanding when I asked to move rooms after we had been given a room at the front. I was probably quite prickly, as I was...tired and really didn’t want passing cat noise to keep me up! Prickliness subsided after we moved with no issue. A heater was provided as the room was cold and the heating taking its time but totally fine after twenty mins. We had dinner as well; two plants burgers, a bottle of Malbec, olives and sticky toffee pudding with change from quid. I completely over did it and had to go for a walk at to stop feeling so full Breakfast included and was nice. I’m going to gloss over the hard avocado as everything else was lovely! All in all a good one night stay. Would return if visiting family in the area again."

"We visited on Easter Saturday for a joint birthday meal. 4 adults and my 10 month old. They had a lovely quiet table upstairs ready with a high chair (I had left a note on my booking that one of the 5 was a baby so was pleased to see they 'd read it! . The service was lovely and not intrusive. Food was delicious and very unique compared to other local restaurants. Stand out dishes were the chicken burger, delicious tacos and two of our party had the black pudding croquettes which they absolutely loved. Very different and well made. They don 't have a specific children 's menu but were happy to make a smaller portion of the mushroom risotto which my daughter absolutely loved (along with most of my chips and some of my mum 's soup! Genuinely a very enjoyable meal, nice to see this lovely pub has been restored to its former glory. Interested to visit again and see what else they have to offer. Also, the 'toppled flower pot ' dessert was absolutely incredible and I 'm not usually a dessert person. Very innovative and different, and not too rich after a big meal."
