We only visited for lunch, so I can't speak to the rooms, but we had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant with delicious food and drinks. The food and drinks were excellent as usual, and the service was top-notch. The location and hotel atmosphere were both fantastic, creating a romantic setting for our meal.

This restaurant is a disappointment. It is located in Ambleside and is highly recommended by the rough guide. However, the service is extremely slow and the bartender cannot even make simple items like fish and chips, a J20 drink, or a coffee. I would not recommend making the effort to travel to this place as it seems like they do not care about their customers or their business.

The restaurant is in a country inn with a charming style and beautiful views of the countryside. The welcoming atmosphere, complete with a cozy log fire and friendly staff, creates a relaxed dining experience. The A team has done a fantastic job.
