The Old House - Menú

The Old House has changed its menu and atmosphere, now offering pizzas and having a pool table upstairs. I haven't had the chance to try the new dishes yet, but I plan on doing so soon. The reviews for their previous fine dining experience may no longer reflect the current offerings.

Absolutely outstanding service and fabulous food. I couldn't possibly recommend this place any higher. It needs 10 stars at least. The service is first class, the food outstanding, and also the cocktails . First time out in 18 months for a small family gathering. Although I have been before. Just brilliant.

Booked by friends so we’d no idea what the restaurant would be like. Very quirky with seating up some very narrow stairs, the floor slopes to make it more interesting. The food and service could not be faulted. Food was cooked and presented really well. Really glad we tried it, I can highly recommend it as a great restaurant.

Mixed review really We were very disappointed with the menu as it was very different to the web site menu There was no kids menu but they offered a small roast and a smaller choice of dishes . I don’t eat meat and the fish was off so v limited choice for me. We waited a long time for our food but when it arrived it was delicious and the staff were all charming and helpful

I took my wife and daughter to Old House as highly recommended to me by friends. We arrived and was greeted by two lovely girls who made us feel very welcome. The starter and main course was outstanding and served as if a Mitchelin Star restraunt, we was all to full for desert. The chef Brenden? , took time out to ask us personally if we enjoyed our evening and did we enjoy the food and service. It was for sure a night to remember in this small but cosy bar restraunt and will definatly return to try the endless list of creative food. We'll done guys!!

After reading reviews, we made a reservation at a restaurant in Hull's old town. The restaurant is located up a flight of stairs, and we felt sorry for the staff having to go up and down for each course. However, they didn't seem to mind. We ordered pea and ham soup and scallops for starters, both of which were overly salted. The scallops were well-cooked and the bread was very tasty. For our main courses, my husband had the slow-cooked pork belly, which he found to be lacking in taste and had no crackling. My first visit to this restaurant on visiting my nephew in Hull. The Building is historical with charm and character and the staff were really friendly and attentive throughout the meal! They served up amazing bread still warm as a free entree and it was delicious. I then ordered the seared scallops with a crispy samphire topping which was absolutely brilliant and delicious and one of the best starters I have had in a long time and would return purely for this alone. This was our first meal out since lockdown easing and we couldn’t have picked a better place! From the minute we arrived to when we left, we were made to feel welcome and relaxed by both the staff and the atmosphere of the place. The food here is absolutely first class. Our scallops to start were delicious- simple presentation, amazing flavours and excellent quality- which we soon came to realise would be the theme of the evening. My friend suggested we try here for a belated birthday meal for her. I must admit I'd never heard of it before but I'll definitely be recommending now. Booking was super easy. On arrival we were taken to the upstairs room which had about 4 tables in it. It's a small pub but nice and intimate if that's the sort of thing you're after. The table was nicely set and had a candle in a Whitley and Neil gin bottle. The waitress took our drinks order and came back with a fruity gin and two fruity ciders for us with the extra touch of little berries in the glass with the ice.
