Amazing pub, incredible service from Lee who was fully attentive to all of our needs. Emma was kind and courteous to our large group of friends

The food was passable but not as good as it could be, my pie and chips looked like it had been under a heat lamp for longer than it should. Most of the staff were nice.

After spending a lovely morning in Bakewell, we decided to stop by this restaurant for lunch. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and it was family and dog friendly. Ver carta

Went in for lunch midweek, was really quiet. Not really sure what the issue is here but simple sandwiches and nachos took an age to arrive. Serving staff were ok, but the young man on the bar was just not with it and struggled with the simplest of orders. Wouldn’t visit again.

Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the food at this restaurant. Everything was served at a cool temperature, not even lukewarm. The chips did not resemble the ones in the photos, lacking potato and more closely resembling crisps or flakes. The pork was cold, and my daughter's fish was overly greasy with mostly batter and hardly any fish inside. Overall, it was a bit disappointing and we probably would not dine here again.

We all appreciated the break from the rain, especially our dog, who was treated to a selection from the canine menu at the bar. The food for the humans was nicely presented, generous in portion size (including the complimentary children's meals), and most importantly, delicious. The desserts were outstanding, especially the sticky toffee pudding. I was initially worried after reading some reviews, but the staff were incredibly accommodating. NOT CHILD FRIENDLY AT ALL. Absolutely terrible service, food overpriced and staff rude. Provided with adult cutlery for a 2 and 4 year old. Asked repeatedly for a suitable utensil to eat their macaroni cheese with. Repeatedly ignored and eventually provided with a teaspoon. By which time the kids were absolutely losing it and barely touched their food. Asked if we could cancel the dessert given the situation and staff refused to make any allowances and told me the children should have just used the adult cutlery, and it's not their fault they're understaffed. Absolutely ridiculous.

Table of four for dads birthday. Booked a table in advance but when arrived no table reserved instead taken to table that needed cleaning. Starter’s disappointing, all felt very out of bag frozen into a fryer. Squid was the most depressing of them all, with the texture and taste of monkey knuckles Mains grime, veg lasagna was as wet as weekend in Blackpool and burger came I. Excellent food and service. We came on Saturday afternoon and when we arrived the pub was nearly full but the young man on the door squeezed us in, he asked to wait whilst they cleaned and re set a table . We were informed that despite it being busy there maybe up to at 40 minute wait for food once ordered we didn’t mind as it’s what you would expect from a busy town centre pub on a Saturday afternoon. My wife and 1 both ordered the pie, mine with mash and my wife’s with chips, both came with gravy and crushed peas. The pies are a proper pie filled with tender pieces of beef and quite honestly Devine! Our friends had a beer battered fish and chips which was a good size portion and the cheese... Ver carta
