"In der alten Schmiede werden leckere Steaks und andere Spezialitäten vom Grill serviert, wobei auch Vegetarier mit den angebotenen Gemüsevariationen etwas leckereres in der Karte finden. Auch die Weinkarte hält für jeden etwas bereit. Wir haben uns über den ausgezeichneten Rioja gefreut, der das Essen bestens begleitet hat. Speisen und Getränke sind hochwertig, der Service ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Lokal selbst ist urig und sehr gemütlich. Wir wissen gar nicht so recht warum wir dieses tolle Lokal ganz in der Nähe nicht schon früher entdeckt haben, waren aber bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort zu Gast. Absolut empfehlenswert. Delicious steaks and other grilled specialties are served and vegetarians will also find something tastier with the vegetable options. The wine list also has something for everyone. We were delighted with the excellent Rioja, which accompanied the meal perfectly. The food and drinks are of high quality and the service is extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is quaint and very cozy. We don't really know why we didn't discover this great restaurant nearby sooner, but it certainly wasn't our last time there. Highly Recommended."

"Die Bedienung ist super nett, das Ambiente ebenso. Leider sind wir jedoch enttäuscht vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das war vor einigen Jahren deutlichst besser. Heute aber z. B. Pasta mit Entenbrust für 20 Euro, mit drei kleinen Stücken Fleisch. Gemischter Salat für ca. 7 Euro... lieblos und fast nur Blattsat. Schmeckt alles gut, aber für die Preise bekommen wir in anderen Lokalen in Reit im Winkl deutlich mehr geboten. Schade... Wir werden wohl nicht wieder herkommen."

"Excellent food with beautiful mountain views.Today spontaneously reserved a table in the Sonneck and with luck still catch a place on the terrace overlooking the surrounding mountains. The food was fantastic, the staff super friendly. The small playground next door invites the little ones to play, so that they are also busy when the adults sit a little longer. We liked it so well that we'll be back next week."

"With a group of 10 people on Saturday we stayed at Lenzenhof for dinner. Of course we had reserved ourselves; in such a large group it would not have gone spontaneously. We had our big table in a slightly smaller room with only two more, slightly smaller tables; As far as I could look into the other rooms, it is probably typical that this place has several smaller rooms instead of a large guest room. The young lady who served us was diligent, friendly and attentive, without ever being intrusive. A beer of 0.5 liter costs 3.30 euros, a currant of 0.5 liter 3.40 euros (as of March 2019). The two main dishes I ate or cost were a pork roast (for 11.90 euros) and a corn flakes carving (for 14.90 euros). Both were plentiful, very tasty and tasty. All others in our group were thrilled with food and praise; no one had a criticism. The toilets are modernly furnished, well maintained and very clean. As far as I can see, the restaurant is not barrier-free; 6 steps to the main entrance; and there was no stepless access to the first impression. But this is to give too little criticism of the rating of Star-Departure; therefore full of 5 stars of this tasteful restaurant with good food in a stylish atmosphere where we spent a successful evening."

"Zum Eichhof is a small Gasthaus a short stroll from the heart of the village that caters to a contented group of locals and travelers. We were the sole American diners the evening we visited, which is apparently typical. Dishes on offer are typical of the region, but the quality of the cooking is very high. Our food was fresh- tasting, well-seasoned, and served piping hot. Prices are more than reasonable. My filet of trout with almonds and browned butter was delicious; it was a copious portion, perfectly cooked, served with potatoes and a large leaf salad composed of multiple types of lettuce.The cost? About $13.00! [I requested fried potatoes rather than boiled, and they were excellent.] My husband's dinner, similarly priced, was grilled pork tenderloin served with a cream sauce and a hefty portion of Roesti as well as the same leaf salad. His half liter of HBTraunstein dark beer was just four Euros.We ate on the rear patio, from which we could enjoy a lovely, rural mountain view. The evening was great. Reservations advised. Highly recommended!"
