"this restaurant had an interesting ambiente in what felt like a wine cellar. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. our waiter was helpful in choosing a good bottle of local weines st emilion to accompany our meal. we enjoyed two appetizers: white asparagus with chorizo, chopped eggs in red wine with a little foie grass; then two main dishes of sweet bread and cod. the best court by far was economical. also enjoyed all the others. presentation was beautifully arranged on all. finished with a cheese plate for dessert, a local truffle cheese that was divine."

the service that was eating was exquisite, ambiente was extremely comfortable. no hurry, eating was made to order. we had the quits and escaped breast, both made perfect. will soon be dinner again for the New Year's Day.

excellent culinary experience! sylvain was a wonderful host and sommelier that connects our courses with great weeps. our escargot appetizer and entrees of sweet bread, squid and pork entree du jour were equipped. the wine cave ambience is wonderful. we highly recommend. Ver carta

A great little restaurant. Down in the cellars so really cool on a warm evening. The food was excellent, I had squid as my main course and it was outstanding. Service was great considering how busy it was and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There was lots of space between the tables so it felt very safe and comfortable.

We were first in the restaurant at 7 and it felt strange and very quiet, especially as you are underground, but within an hour every table was occupied and the place came alive. Food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and presented. Thanks chef. Enough choices without being overwhelming. Service first class. Very friendly, helpful and informative. Huge selection of wines. A large percentage local but what ever your fancy, you will find it here. Priced very reasonably considering where you are. Overall a very good experience and will be back.

"I wish I would read some of the last reviews before we sit down and order. first, when I asked for a table for 4, the waiter asked me if we had kids, if yes, how old they are. strange. when I said they were, it was considered acceptable. in the history of eating countless meals with our children, we were never asked how old they are before we get a table. that should have been a warning. our daughter sat down while they prepared the table (it was almost 40 degrees, she felt weak. the woman (owner/owner pushed her away and left her waiting outside. very rude. this same woman had a very acidic expression all the time we were in the restaurant (this behavior is the source of the rude French stereotype ho hum . later, when our daughter went to the restroom, the older man who worked in the restaurant (also owner/manager? followed her without knocking and asked her if she was a customer of the restaurant! unbelievable. she was destroyed that we were angry. we have been sitting there for over an hour, as he had not noticed that his customers beyond me (it is not a big restaurant . he follows all his customers into the bathroom? would he have followed my man? absolutely unacceptable behavior and behaved we should deal quickly at this time. it is hard to know why these people actually work in hospitality and if they don't like tourist, why do they have a restaurant in the middle of a city with tourist heaving? on the plus side was the young man who served us very nice, that was okay. I wish we had taken our business elsewhere."
