"It was a pleasant experience at this pub which is steeped in history. However, there is a policy of not being able to book a table in advance. One suggestion I have is to provide more bread with the camembert dish instead of prompting customers to ask for more. When we requested additional bread, we were surprised to find an extra charge for it at the end of the meal without being informed initially. It's not about the cost but rather about transparency in what is being offered. I would prefer if the price included more bread upfront."

Great Pub which serves really good food (Cheesey Chips are delicious and portions are very generous). The pub itself is gorgeous with a wonderful atmosphere. You can sit out on the terrace or garden next to a pretty pond.

This is a really lovely pub opposite the Hever Castle. Lovely meal we had before the show at the Castle on Friday evening. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great service and delicious food. Definitely worth a visit

Gorgeous pub, tasty food and friendly service. Stopped here for lunch while on a hike and sat in the beer garden. Really well decorated with a great ambience. There were lots of people tucking into the food, which is always a good sign!

Fabulous pub with great food and service. Portions were generous and great quality and at a reasonable price. We’ll definitely be coming back. Never seen a steak and ale pie with such fantastic quality beef! Haloumi fries as a starter enough for three people! Ver carta

I didn't have the food here but it looked and smelled really good. Lovely place for a pint if you're in the area. Beer garden is nice but there's loads of space indoors as well. It's an old pub so the vibe instead is quite cozy and friendly. Can't fault it here

I think we caught the back-end of their Sunday roast service, as some of the veg matched the mediocre portions. However, given it's literally opposite the entrance of Hever castle, and the fact they have a brilliant team, one must give them the benefit of doubt. It's also fairly priced. We sat out on the veranda, squinting in and out of the louvres as the sun was coming down. Lovely setting.

Lovely restaurant/pub in a beautiful building. The food was good we went there for lunch but forgot to take a picture of the food because the place looks amazing. It's right around the corner of the entrance to Hever Castle. The burger and duck salad were solid. After our tour of the castle we went back for dessert which also tasted well. The dishes are simple but fresh which is what most dishes need. Ver carta

We had lunch at this charming pub before visiting Hever Castle. The staff were all very friendly and even brought water bowls for our dogs. The food was fantastic! Everything was cooked perfectly - the Sunday roasts were delicious, and the fish and chips were the best I've had in a while. The prices were reasonable. Our only regret was that the weather wasn't nice enough to eat in the garden, so I guess we'll have to come back again. Highly recommended.

During my stay at Hever Castle, I visited this charming restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was idyllic and cozy, and the food was delicious. I ordered the soup, which was incredibly tasty, and everyone in our group had a great meal with no complaints. We were celebrating a young family member's birthday, and the staff treated us exceptionally well, allowing us to linger a bit longer while we finished our drinks. I will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to others!

"this was the first restaurant that I found when using happy cow to eat, so it should be my first to also be checked! I was drawn to come here through their fascinating vegan options, especially the banana-blood “fish” and chips. it also had a very large selection of beautiful looking eating for my omni woman to choose. the pub itself, when large, but secretly with beautiful decor. we had arrived to arrive immediately and our food did not take too long to arrive once ordered. I ordered a dietary coke and the banane blossom “fish” and chips. When my teller arrived, I was taken back by the fact that the vegan tartar sauce was served in an oyster dish. I hoped it was thoroughly cleaned, but it is also not very sensitive to a vegan mindset. the food itself was charming, but the teig was crazy good and my first time that the bananese blossom impressed me very much! I finished eating all the teller and was very full! when the bill came to my shock I saw that we were calculated for the dietary pepsi (a famous non vegan drink) instead of diet cakes. the restaurant did not tell us that they had this on hahn in the opposite to koks, so without my knowledge or my mood they served me a non vegan drink. I was pretty upset and just wanted to get out, so she didn't know what happened, though I probably would have. I think that both the as well as the entire serviers sauce in an oyster shell shows that some places are ready to provide for vegan (for inclusiveness or profit), but must make sure that they understand every aspekt that goes into it. so I recommend her banan blossom ‘fish’, but be careful was drinks they order there."
