"Nous avons choisi une table dehors et malheureusement nous avons dû attendre 1 heure et 15 minutes avant de recevoir les plats principaux (sans entrées). La pizza était remplie de salami et beaucoup trop salée, les fusillis étaient trop cuits et également trop salés. Le service était médiocre. On nous a donné des serviettes en papier alors que d'autres personnes avaient des serviettes en tissu... Finalement on a dû encore attendre 15 minutes pour l'addition. Par conséquent, je recommande pas du tout ce restaurant !"

"I admit to being biased. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the options for German food are not as extensive as I would like, and I'm surprised that these days they haven't yet found a way to charge you for water and...cutlery. When I dine at a place like Postkeller, the value is just off the charts. There is almost a full menu of dinner options that cost less than an appetizer at some of the restaurants I visit back home. The portions at Postkeller are quite generous, and the food is very flavorful and delicious. And then there is the beer. Oh, the beer. In the San Francisco Bay area it is hard to find a taproom or brewpub where you can find a pint of draft craft beer for under often than not, you find a ounce pour of some beverage with odd fruit and spice flavors for At Postkeller you will have a wide range of beer choices for well under Euros for a half liter, and a number of options for under Euros. If you come between PM you can get a full liter of one of their beers for Euros. There are some good options to choose from. My wife and I went the other night. I tried two of their Edel Märzen beers. They were Euros each. My wife had the local Mittenwald Dunkel. Just terrific beers. My wife decided on a lighter meal, or so she thought. The omelette with mushrooms and cheese had to be at least three eggs. It came with potatoes and a side salad. This was under Euros. I had the Schweinshaxe (pork hock) with an extra salad. Those two items together were under Euros or less than at current exchange rates. You wouldn't be able to touch that price in the Bay Area. Places that do offer the dish back home don't produce a meal nearly as good. The total tab was under Euros. You are hard pressed to get two burritos and two agua frescas in the Bay Area for this amount. It is just a phenomenal value. I've spent over on dinners for two at home that weren't half as satisfying. There are many other restaurants in Mittenwald that serve similar food. I have been to quite a few of them. All of the ones I have tried serve excellent food at a similar price point, so if you are in the mood for traditional Bavarian food, you have many options. I will just say that all of them are excellent, and it is one of the reasons I have come to Mittenwald for over fifty years. I'm hoping I can make it over years."

"Hemos aprendido que una gran fracción de los restaurantes y las empresas en Mittenwald se lleva sus vacaciones en abril o mayo. Como resultado, muchos de los mejores restaurantes calificados no estaban abiertos. Tuvimos suerte con Gaststatte am Kurpark. Reabrió en nuestro último día completo en Mittenwald. El comedor estaba en gran parte vacío cuando llegamos, aunque había una tabla de clientes habituales en la parte posterior. La camarera era muy amable, los menús entregados, tomaron una orden de bebida y luego nos trajeron nuestras bebidas. "we had lunch in this restaurant on our last trip to Germany. we entered the restaurant according to the disposable system (which many customers do not follow disturbed) and were offered a table that meets our needs. the waitress then came to us with the...Menus and asked us what we want to drink. when my man asked about the beer in the offer instead of running through it, she said, now, read the menu and I will come back. my man went for one of the steaks he said it was served hot instead of hot (the buses also) and I went for zanderfilet containing an salat that was served first. the salat was much too much to dress so that the leaves seasoned. the fish was served with petersil potatoes, six huge pieces of boiled potato with petersil over them. difficult to see why someone needs so many kartoffels, and really unstoppable. it became even less exciting after that when it was difficult to get the waitress to put a bill, and when she did wait after a ridiculously long, it was just the total number, not a punctual bill possibly illegal? this place appears for years in guides like the ionly planet and rough guide possibly a reason not to disturb to offer a decent level of service."
